Created during my internship at Wardrobe Theory Project, the House Shoe is the first item made in partnership with the local Des Moines business, Fontenelle Supply Co, where excess material is used to create new products.

Wardrobe Theory Project is a bi-annual print publication that emphasizes and celebrates the relationship we have with our clothing, and creates discourse around the environmental impact of its consumption.

Fontenelle Supply Co. has been a local Des Moines shop for nearly a decade, and carries american heritage style menswear, but focuses on handcrafted leather goods.

Contributions to the project:
- Hand pattern grading of shoe sizes (US M 5-12)

- Research and development of footbed shape and form through patternmaking, and foot measuring

- Creation of prototypes through paper samples, and sewn leather samples

- Evaluation and streamlining of assembly during prototyping process

- Presentation of insights to collaborator and second sample evaluation
